“Who lives in a
pineapple under the sea? Spongebobsquarepants!” Everybody knows this song
especially kids who have experienced the pleasure of watching SpongebobSquarepants
aired on television.
SpongebobSquarepants
is just one of the long running television cartoons created by Nickelodeon. The
airing of SpongebobSquarepants Movie in 2004 is a risky attempt considering
that viewers are already used to watch it on their homes for about 10 minutes
every episode. And now, Nickelodeon even took one larger step and created
another film about the adventure of Spongebob and his pals.

However,
the plot of the film was not already a new idea. When you saw the trailer,
probably you are going to suddenly thought of the film Smurfs. Both of the film
has mixed the fictional and real characters interacting with one another. Another
bad impression that the film left is on how the setting in the real world was
set up. Usually when people saw unusual things or phenomenon they never leave
the area. They often stay and get themselves involve on the chaos. However, it
is just so unrealistic that in this film people don’t care at all and continue
enjoying their summer vacation. Though the film intended to focused only to
Burger Beard,
Spongebob and his pals, it is still granted that they on a real world where
real people live. What happened in the film was felt like they fought in a
place where no people live.
The film lacked on twists and turns
that would give adrenalin rush to its audience. I was expecting more about this
film considering the fact that it is very popular not only to kids but to
adults as well. On the other hand, the film was not boring in a sense that
there are no senseless conversations happened between the characters as
compared to the usual films we saw. The story line was strictly followed and
the flow of the story was direct to the point.

But what made this film impressive
is it enabled to maintain the spirit of the show even in large screen. Watching
this film is indeed a fun time due tohumorous lines deliveredby the casts. The
story was crazy and whacked up that kids and adult would surely enjoy.
Just
like most of cartoons, this film also portrayed violence. There is a scene
where Mr.Krab punished Plankton through cracking a joke so that Spongebob would
laugh hysterically. Another example was when a cannon ball landed on Patrick’s
face. Though this might be a joke and a form of entertainment for some, but
this could bring a warning for parents not to let their children watch this
film.

However,
Sponegbob Movie: Spongebob out of the Water has showed moral lessons. Spongebob
showed kindness through proving the ignorance of Plankton although it may risk
his life. Though he has the choice to put Plankton down, he chose to look for
the missing bottle with the secret recipe of the burger patty inside. The film
also portrayed the value of friendship. Spongebob and his loyal friends went
with him and helped in looking for the missing secret recipe that would save the
Bikini Bottom from the intense chaos.

Regardless
of whether Spongebob will be played on television or in cinemas, kids will
always love him. It also doesn’t matter whether Spongebob has well-built body
or not, kids will still like him. One thing is for sure, we surely know who’s
that sponge-like creature is that serve burger patties in Bikini Bottom.
